The Central Florida Chapter installed their Officers for the 2019/2020 Fiscal Year in Winter Park, Florida on August 22nd. Mayor of Orange County, Jerry Demings, was the Keynote Speaker. He discussed a new tax structure to pay for important future infrastructure projects and that 51% would be paid by tourists.
Roger Schmitt was able to discuss with the Mayor, Orange Counties the great engineering staff and their decision to only construct concrete Bike Paths and Trails throughout Orange County.
Roger also discussed the attributes of concrete pavement with another group and they agreed more concrete pavement was necessary in Central Florida and Vu Vu pictured with the Miami Dolphins jersey suggested and continuously reinforced concrete pavement.
Roger also discussed one on one, with David Bottomley, the use of a Pervious Concrete Bike Path.
