CEMEX Tampa Division delivered 43,000 cubic yards of 5000 psi .40 W/C concrete to Port Tampa Bay for construction of the new EastPort cargo yard. A typical day consisted of delivering 400 cuyds @ 100 cuyds per hour at a 2.5-inch slump. GLF Project Manager Garrick Delony upon completion commented “I was a big skeptic and have had negative experiences using ready mix concrete to feed our pavers, however after observing CEMEX’s performance I am now a believer that ready mix concrete is a viable option for paving”.
