This fiber reinforced concrete roof deck system for Preferred Freezer Warehouse specified 6×6 w1.4 wire welded fabric on over 200,000 sqft of 3.5” thick metal. The concrete subcontractor was looking for a way to save time on the schedule, eliminate labor to install and the need to hoist the welded wire mesh of more than 60 feet in the air. Since the wire welded mesh was only specified for crack control in the galvanized form deck the engineer accepted 1 lb per cubic yard of FF350.
