The University of Florida won the 2019 American Society of Civil Engineers National Concrete Canoe Competition on Saturday June 8, 2019. The Florida Concrete & Products Association participated as a Gold Sponsor for the event. There were 24 teams from around the country competing with more than 250 engineering students on campus, at the Florida Institute of Technology, in Melbourne. The FC&PA had a display at the event featuring pervious concrete and reflectivity, and other Florida ASCE student chapters in attendance were looking already ahead to 2020.
